God Check In

During prayer this morning, I got the revelation that as much as God wants to bless us and answer our prayers, He also wants us to check in on Him. When was the last time you asked "God how can I serve You?" When was the last time you asked Him "what is your will for me today, God?" Have you ever asked God "what can I do to make you happy, Lord?" Many of us are taught to praise Him and send up our petitions to Him but how often are we taught to check in on Him? To ask Him about His temperament and how we can be a blessing to Him? Take a few minutes during your prayer time each day to ask God about God. Can you imagine how it would make Him smile to hear His children ask about His day and His needs? If you are a parent, how much joy does it bring you when your children check on you?
