Grace Through Faith

We take the Grace of God for granted. We use it to get us out of poor decision making or we dangle it as a tool to excuse our son. But if we really study grace we would understand that God places as much importance on grace as He does truth.

John 1:17: For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Even further study reveals that Jesus is truth but He is also grace. He is our access to experience forgiveness. He is our way to the Father even in our sinful state. He is our light in the darkness. He is our GRACE!

Without Jesus grace is obsolete but through Jesus, we are saved by grace through faith. Let's stop "applying" grace to manipulate the hand of God and let's instead receive the grace that Jesus is by receiving Him into every area of our lives.

The truth that sets us free is not the truth of the mosaic law but the truth of grace in the person of Jesus Christ.
